Christians.com is part of the Gospel Media Network, with a vision of developing out its sites, such as God.org, Heaven.com, Religion.com, Rapture.com, GospelMusic.com and many others. We hope that each of these sites can concentrate on a core vertical that will help people come to a deep understanding by accessing information deep into that vertical, rather than placing all information under the sun in one place. While this vision has been in our hearts for over a decade, it has started to take shape, but will always be a continual work.
Through Christians.com, we aim to organize as much Christian literature over the past two thousand years, making it accessible and deriving patterns and relationships between people in various generations in the past and present as well as in reference to topic and Scripture passage.
The core of Christians.com will revolve around people, focusing on those people who lived and are living their lives whole-heartedly for God, telling others of the amazing grace and love that changed their hearts.
As you read of the moment when God touched each of their hearts, we hope that it will remind you of the time when you realized the love of God, how you crossed the chasm from your sinful state into the glorious loving and holy realm of God in your heart and were born again to a living hope, through eternal life in Christ Jesus. And if you have not had that experience of being born again, help you to seek with all your heart that experience. An experience that does not consist of merely prayer, going to church, speaking in God's name, going to theological school, being born in a Christian family, or being baptized and confessing your sins.
You can see that before many of these great men of God were born again, they were very religious, praying five times a day, fasting, devoting much time to the reading of the Scriptures, helping the poor and preaching in the name of Jesus and God. Some were even pastors of churches for years before they were saved. The most important thing is first that one comes to realize truly who Jesus is, that He is the Christ. Then one will seek salvation, being born again, but that alone does not result in salvation. Many believe and preach in a gospel of acceptance that once a person decides to accept Jesus as their Savior, that that is the moment they are born again, but that is like a sperm cell or a parent wanting to conceive life. The will is important, but the actual moment of conception of life is defined by something greater than one's desire to create life. And so it is with the spirit, of being born again. For it is the not the will of the flesh, nor the will of man, nor of being born of blood into a certain family or faith, but it is but by the will of God, through His Holy Spirit, that one is born again. So the question is whether or not we are known by God.
So many will say to the Lord on that day, "I prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name and in Your name, performed many miracles." But I will say to them, "I never knew you, you who practice lawlessness."
One day we will all bow down before the Lord, in His almighty presence. There will be a few who will be able lift up their heads in His loving presence, whereas many will not be able to lift their heads, for fear and dread will take hold of their hearts in that day of Judgment.
We hope that this site will be a blessing to many, to lead many along to the narrow door and keep their steps upon the narrow path that leads to eternal life with God and all those who love Him and His commandments.
Our confession and doctrine are based on the Bible, whose core is Christ. We do not profess any denomination, but rely on the word of God and of His revelation throughout the ages.
